Ragdoll cats are known for their vivid blue eyes, pointed coats, large size, and distinctive combinations of color and white markings. But describing a Ragdoll's appearance involves more than simply calling a cat "seal" or "blue." A Ragdoll's coat can be described using several layers: Color - such as seal, blue, chocolate, lilac, red, or cream Pattern - colorpoint, mitted, or bicolor Lynx markings - tabby-like stripes or bars on the points Tortie coloring - patches or mottling involving red or cream White markings - especially important in mitted and bicolor Ragdolls Understanding these terms makes Ragdoll descriptions much easier to decode. For example, a blue lynx mitted Ragdoll is not a cat with three different colors.
